(WTAM) A tense moment at the Regal Cinemas at Crocker Park Saturday night where a man showing up to see the 10pm showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" was arrested with weapons including a fully-loaded 9 mm pistol and three knives, according to police.
37-year old Scott A. Smith of North Ridgeville was spotted by a suspicious theater manager and an off-duty Westlake police officer who was working security. Once Smith was seated, the officer asked to see the contents of a bag the man had with him.
That's when investigators say the officer found a gun and two knives. A third knife was found under Smith's clothing.
Smith's North Ridgeville home was searched, and police found a room dedicated to guns. They also found a gas mask. In Smith's truck, police found a tactical vest.
Smith is jailed on four counts of carrying concealed weapons. More charges are possible.
